The Sitters & Company Story

We moved to the Phoenix area in July 2007 from the east coast and left behind our family, friends and network of helpful hands.  With two toddlers in tow, we (like most modern parents) started our babysitter search by Googling “babysitter phoenix Arizona” and searched our community’s message boards for child care. While we found several options, we were just too apprehensive about leaving our children with a complete stranger.  Then a friend told us about the locally owned and operated Sitters & Company. We were pleased to learn that the service was “created for parents, by parents” and that the owners actually conduct face-to-face interviews with every potential sitter (and as a result only 8-10% of the sitters who apply are actually accepted into the network).  Because of this level of quality and diligence, we gave the service a try.  We are so happy that we did!  Our children have embraced every sitter and we have loved the convenience, affordability and ease of the process.  Since August 2007, Sitters & Company has been a valued and trusted service to our family.  We have been able to run errands, work from home, and enjoy much-needed date nights – all while giving our two toddlers the best care possible.

We have had such a fantastic experience with Sitters & Company that we decided to help other families meet their sitting needs by becoming market partners and owners of the Phoenix Sitters & Company in March 2008.
